A SUMMER OF BUTTERFLIES! –
THE BIG BUTTERFLY COUNT
Leading wildlife charity, Butterfly
Conservation, is calling on the public to
prepare for a bumper summer of
butterflies. This year, alongside its
hugely popular Big Butterfly Count, the
charity is launching something brand
new – a vote to discover Britain’s
Favourite Butterfly!
Famous for its annual Big Butterfly
Count, in which tens of thousands of
people spend 15 minutes counting
butterflies, Butterfly Conservation is
adding an exciting new milestone to the
2026 summer season as it sets out to
discover which of the UK’s butterfly
species takes the top spot in the nation's
hearts.
The call to action follows scientific
evidence that proves counting butterflies
boosts how connected people feel to
nature and how motivated they are to
protect it. Now the charity is
encouraging people to vote for their
favourite species, then head outside
during Big Butterfly Count and see what
they can spot this summer.
The vote to find Britain’s Favourite
Butterfly will take place from Friday
15 May – Sunday 7 June, followed by
Butterfly Conservation’s Big Butterfly
Count from Friday 17 July – Sunday
9 August.

THE ART OF SPRING AT
BROWN’S HOTEL
Brown’s Hotel is to present ‘A Very
British Spring Day’, an uplifting seasonal
experience to celebrate the best of
Spring in London; longer, warmer, days
and parks awash with daffodils and
blossom. The day combines a private
curator-led art tour and art inspired walk
by the Serpentine, a spring afternoon tea
and a botanical spa treatment at Brown’s
Hotel.
At the centre of the day is a private,
curator-led tour of the new exhibition by
David Hockney – David Hockney: A Year
in Normandie and Some Other Thoughts
about Painting at the Serpentine North
Gallery in Kensington Gardens. Created
specifically for this presentation, the new
body of work continues Hockney’s longstanding exploration of perception, light
and landscape. Following the gallery
visit, guests will enjoy an art inspired
walk along the Serpentine and Hyde
Park to the hotel to enjoy a wonderful
spring afternoon tea in Brown’s Drawing
Room.
The day concludes at Brown’s Spa
with a botanical massage treatment
using plant-based oils and techniques
focused on relaxation and muscle
recovery. The treatment has been
developed to complement the reflective
and restorative nature of the experience.
The day reflects on Brown’s longstanding connection to London’s cultural
community and its Mayfair location,
within walking distance of major
galleries, parks and institutions.
LONDON’S ALL SHOOK UP: CITY
CRUISES’ ELVIS TRIBUTE
Elvis mania has gripped London,
fuelled by the immersive Elvis Evolution
experience that resurrects The King in
the capital and the release of the new
concert film, Epic Elvis Presley in
Concert. However, if watching from a
seat doesn’t do it for you, celebrate the
King on a Thames cruise beneath the
London lights.
City Cruises are presenting the Elvis
Tribute Dinner Cruise, a three-hour
rock'n'roll party on the river, where
guests can ‘shake, rattle and roll’ while
cruising past Tower Bridge. Dinner,
music, and sightseeing come together
for an unforgettable experience, whether
you're an Elvis fanatic or just seeking a
unique and fun evening.
EASTER TEA AT THE CHANCERY
ROSEWOOD
This Easter, the Chancery Rosewood
invites visitors to celebrate the season
with a luxurious Easter afternoon tea,
served from 13.00 to 18.00 in a relaxed,
sunlit lounge overlooking Grosvenor
Square. The experience begins with a
welcome from the Rosewood Tea
Sommelier, followed by asparagus and
goats cheese tart, elegant sandwiches
such as lemon-roasted corn-fed chicken
with wild garlic emulsion and Wye
Valley asparagus with Dorset crab,
minted garden peas with cream cheese.
