WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION
EXTENDS UNTIL 2027
Agatha Christie’s Witness for the
Prosecution has extended its acclaimed
London County Hall run until 25 April
2027, taking the immersive courtroom
production into its tenth year. Since
opening in October 2017, the show has
captivated audiences with its gripping
murder trial, atmospheric staging, and
trademark Christie twists, becoming one
of London’s most enduring theatrical
experiences. Tickets for the new booking
period are now on sale.
To mark the extension, the producers
have announced the names of the
members of the fifteenth cast, led by
Hollyoaks star Owen Warner, who makes
his theatrical debut as the accused
Leonard Vole.
Warner is best known for his role as
Romeo Nightingale in Channel 4’s
Hollyoaks and for finishing runner-up on
ITV’s I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of
Here! in 2022. He is joined by Eleanor
Sutton as Romaine, whose previous
theatre credits include A Doll’s House at
the Crucible Theatre, A Midsummer
Night’s Dream at Opera Holland Park,
and Wuthering Heights on Emma Rice’s
US tour.
The company also features Simon
Cotton as Sir Wilfrid Robarts QC,
Matthew White as Mr Mayhew, David
Whitworth as Mr Justice Wainwright,
and Michael Mears as Mr Myers QC,
alongside a full supporting ensemble.
Directed by Lucy Bailey, the
production places audiences inside a
striking courtroom within the historic
London County Hall. As prosecution and
defence battle, witnesses deliver
dramatic testimony and the fate of
Leonard Vole hangs in the balance. The
immersive staging and Christie’s tightly
wound narrative have helped the show
maintain near sell-out performances.
Designed by William Dudley, with
lighting by Chris Davey and sound by
Mic Pool, the production earned Best
Revival nominations at both the 2018
Olivier Awards and WhatsOnStage
Awards, cementing its status as a mustsee London theatre experience.

YENTL AT THE MARYLEBONE
THEATRE
Kadimah Yiddish Theatre and Wild
Yak Productions will present a special
one-off performance of Yentl at the
Marylebone Theatre on 1 April,
celebrating LGBTQ+ audiences with an
exclusive post-show Q&A hosted by
performer and director Ralph Bogard.
Following its London premiere and a
series of award-winning, sold-out
seasons in Australia – including a fivestar run at the Sydney Opera House –
this bold new adaptation of Isaac
Bashevis Singer’s short story returns for
a dedicated queer-focused evening
exploring identity, spirituality, and
religious orthodoxy.
Directed and co-written by Gary
Abrahams, with co-writers Galit Klas and
Elise Hearst, the production reimagines
Singer’s classic through a distinctly
Yiddish theatrical lens.
The 1 April event will feature a postshow discussion titled Understanding
Queer Shame and Our Relationship to
Spirituality and Religious Orthodoxy,
offering audiences deeper insight into
the production’s themes.
Kadimah Yiddish Theatre, one of the
world’s few contemporary bilingual
Yiddish-English companies, has built an
international reputation for staging
urgent, universal stories rooted in
Yiddish culture. The performance begins
at 19:30, followed by the Q&A at 22:15.
