FAULTY TOWERS THE DINING
EXPERIENCE
Faulty Towers The Dining Experience
celebrated 50 years of the iconic sitcom
with a glittering celebrity gala at the
President Hotel. Stars, fans and industry
friends joined Basil, Sybil and Manuel
for a night of chaos, comedy and a 70sstyle three-course meal in honour of
Britain’s most iconic sitcom.
The London gala was one of eight
simultaneous performances staged
across the UK and Australia to mark the
exact 50th anniversary of the first
episode of Fawlty Towers airing on 19
September 1975.
Following the sold-out celebration,
producers are to extend the sale of
tickets for the hit immersive comedy
dining show until 20 December 2026 –
extending the show’s record-breaking
London run.
Written by John Cleese and Connie
Booth, the series about the
quintessential irascible Torquay hotelier
ran for just 12 episodes but became one
of the most acclaimed and influential
British comedies of all time. Its enduring
popularity has made it a cornerstone of
UK television history.
Devised by Alison Pollard-Mansergh,
Andrew Foreman and others, Faulty
Towers The Dining Experience has
appeared in 43 countries and welcomed
over a million guests since 2008. A
loving tribute to the BBC’s legendary
sitcom, the show is 70% improvised,
totally immersive – and continues to be
one of London’s longest-running
comedy hits.

INALA: THE HOUSE OF SISTERS
GRIMM
The Grammy-nominated South
African dance musical INALA has
extended its West End run at the newly
launched House of Sisters Grimm on
Eastcastle Street, W1, with performances
now booking through to 4 April.
Responding to sustained public demand,
the production has also expanded its
schedule to six performances per week.
Since its premiere at the Edinburgh
International Festival in 2014, INALA
has built an impressive international
reputation, appearing at major venues
including the Royal Variety Performance,
the Royal Albert Hall, Hampton Court
Palace, the Peacock Theatre and Marina
Bay Sands Singapore. The music is
co-composed by Ella Spira MBE
alongside the late Joseph Shabalala,
founder of the Grammy-winning
Ladysmith Black Mambazo, with
choreography by Mark Baldwin OBE.
The current 2025 incarnation of the
show debuted in May at Johannesburg’s
Nelson Mandela Stage, where it played
to sold-out houses and critical acclaim,
prompting the addition of further
performances that also sold out. This
version introduces narration by Ndaba
Mandela, adding a contemporary
narrative layer to the production.
House of Sisters Grimm represents a
significant new cultural destination in
London’s West End, offering a red-carpet,
dress-to-impress cultural salon unlike
anything currently in London. It unites
three creative pillars under one
roof: INALA, iGOLI – London’s first
exclusively South African fine-wine bar –
and The Gallery, an immersive multimedia
art space dedicated to South African
landscapes and artists. Together, they offer
audiences a curated evening combining
theatre, visual art and fine wine.
Developed with leading wine authority
Michael Fridjhon, Wine Director Julian
Naik and the Sin+Tax mixology team,
iGOLI presents site-specific wines,
artist-label collaborations and signature
cocktails. The Gallery opens with Global
Landscapes: South Africa, a major series
by Ella Spira MBE created at iconic
locations across the country.
