Disney's Hercules – Mount Olympus – Ensemble.
DISNEY’S HERCULES EXTENDS
Disney Theatrical Group’s production
of Hercules is to extend its run at
Theatre Royal Drury Lane until 18 July,
due to public demand.
With music by Alan Menken and
lyrics by David Zippel, and a brand-new
book by Robert Horn and Kwame KweiArmah, Casey Nicholaw’s production of
Hercules, co-choreographed with
Tanisha Scott, is inspired by the 1997
animated film of the same name from
Walt Disney Studios.
The feature film, directed by The Little
Mermaid filmmakers John Musker and
Ron Clements, and written by Clements,
Musker, Donald McEnery, Bob Shaw and
Irene Mecchi, won Best Animation
Feature at the Los Angeles Film Critics
Association Awards and was nominated
The Muses.

for the Academy Award® for Best
Original Song for Go the Distance.
The musical, inspired by the animated
film, based on the ancient myth. It's
what classical civilisation would have
wanted.
Ancient Greece. A time of gods,
mortals... and Hercules, who isn't quite
either. But if he's not a god, how can he
possibly save the world from Hades? It's
one thing flexing those pecs, but going
from zero to hero requires a different
kind of strength.
Get ready for a wise-cracking,
column-shaking, underworld-rocking
ride of adventure, self-discovery, and
love. In tunics.
The cast album is available for digital
download, also on CD and vinyl.

NEW LONDON UNDERGROUND
POSTER AS ZSL MARKS 200 YEARS
A tower of giraffes at London Zoo
stars in a striking new poster
commissioned by London Transport
Museum and TfL, celebrating the charity
ZSL’s 200th anniversary. The poster will
be displayed across London
Underground stations this month.
London Zoo’s Giraffe House,
designed by original architect Decimus
Burton in 1836, remains the oldest
building at the Zoo still used for its
original purpose. It set the standard for
giraffe house design globally and is a
favourite for visitors and passers-by.
The poster is the finale of London
Transport Museum and TfL’s ‘Great Days
Out’ series, which highlights iconic
cultural attractions such as Dulwich
Picture Gallery and the Royal Albert Hall.
London Zoo has long been a
celebrated subject for Underground
posters, with over 80 historic designs
dating back to 1908, promoting visits by
train, tram, and bus. Created by awardwinning artist Eliza Southwood, the new
poster marks the return of contemporary
artists to TfL commissions. It reflects
ZSL’s 200-year mission to inspire public
interest in wildlife, introducing visitors
to species previously unseen in Britain
and fostering a love of nature.
