ROGER HOOPER WILDLIFE
PHOTOGRAPHY AT OXO TOWER
Roger Hooper is a photographer who is
passionate about wildlife and the
environment. He has photographed many
extraordinary aspects of our planet and has
travelled to all seven continents. He sees
photography as a way of informing others
of the frailty and beauty of the world around
us, and of highlighting the need to preserve
our wildest environments and our most
endangered species.
An exhibition of his beautiful wildlife
photography will take place at Oxo Tower
Wharf (GALLERY@OXO) from 1 to 16
August. An important aspect of Roger’s
work is his strong association with WWF
and he has photographed a number of
their projects. Roger’s photographs have
featured in several WWF publications, in
his books Dotted Plains, Spotted Game,
Art in the Wild, Focus on the Wild and in
his book: Latitude.
In Latitude, the magnificent portraits
are both dignified and warm. They are the
product of Roger Hooper’s painstaking
efforts and dedication to wildlife and
demonstrate his superb knowledge of
animal behaviour, careful planning and
meticulous photographic technique. This
series of portraits allows us to experience
some of the most stunning moments of
Roger’s travels across the globe.
All proceeds from the Oxo Tower
exhibition go to Hoopers Africa Trust.

LOST OASIS IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE
This summer, the architectural
boundary between the urban landscape
and the natural world will dissolve in
central London as Lost Oasis is unveiled.
Nestled within the iconic grounds of
St Martin-in-the-Fields, overlooking
Trafalgar Square, this immersive urban
sanctuary will turn the concrete heart of
Central London into a lush, sprawling
haven of greenery and high-end food,
sport and entertainment.
In collaboration with Cornwall’s
The Lost Gardens of Heligan, one of
Britain’s best-loved and romantic gardens,
in partnership with Blue Forest, Lost
Oasis is an immersive experience
designed by some of the world’s leading
landscape designers.
Lost Oasis is a multisensory fusion of
culture, flavour and energy – an
immersive installation that goes beyond
the traditional pop-up. A series of
beautifully crafted timber structures,
woven with vibrant planting, creates
distinct spaces for socialising and
discovery. In collaboration with
Architectural Plants, the progressive West
Sussex nursery known for showcasing the
world’s most exciting plants, the
experience becomes a lush tropical
escape. Step inside to be surrounded by
bold, exotic foliage, the scent of evergreen
jasmine, towering palms and layers of
ferns – an environment designed to
awaken every sense and leave you newly
plant-obsessed.
