THE NATION’S 5K
The Nation’s 5K is a project launched
by PT, community leader and endurance
athlete Esmée Gummer. She is hosting a
run club in every city in the UK (plus
Dublin), and commuting between each
event on foot, aiming to host 77 run
clubs and 5,000km in 99 days.
Attendees can walk/jog/run/wheel –
whatever they want feel comfortable with
– no time pressure and no one left
behind. So far she’s been joined by
people achieving their first 5K run,
others who haven’t jogged in decades
and marathoners who run every day.
Most 5K clubs follow pre-existing
parkrun routes which are inclusive and
accessible. It also means new runners
can return to the same route every
weekend to continue their running
journey. On Saturdays, Esmée will be
joining an official parkrun event,
bringing her runners together with the
worlds largest free run club
organisation.
She is arriving to each every city on
foot, running 5,000km between the
76 events. On average, she’s running
50km a day, though some days are as
long as 70km.
After becoming paralysed during a
routinne surgery when she was 18, she
had to learn to walk again. Esmée now
wants to prove that movement doesn’t
need to be intimidating, perfect or
isolating but that it can be social,
supportive and fun.

BUZZATTACK
Get your buzzers ready! BuzzAttack,
the immersive TV game show experience
has opened. Inspired by iconic TV
shows like Wheel of Fortune and The
Price Is Right, BuzzAttack invites
participants to team up and go head-tohead in fast-paced trivia and brainteasing challenges where speed, strategy
and luck take centre stage.
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed
backstage before taking their place
behind classic gameshow podiums,
where teams compete in rounds of pop
culture, music, sport and current affairs
trivia. With customisable categories,
players can focus on the topics they
know best. Between rounds, arcade-style
challenges test agility and reward
winners with spins on a wheel.
Complete with buzzing podiums,
fluorescent lights and dynamic
audiovisual effects, BuzzAttack recreates
the excitement of appearing on a TV
game show. Its retro-inspired set
captures the golden age of television,
giving participants the chance to step
into the spotlight and live out their
gameshow dreams.
