LUXMURALIS AT ST MARTIN-INTHE-FIELDS
Following its incredible sell-out
success across the UK, St Martin’s forms
the backdrop to Space, a magical cosmic
sound and light experience created by
Luxmuralis that celebrates our
relationship with planet Earth and beyond
and humanity’s ambition to venture into
the unknown. Next month, St Martin-inthe-Fields will host a celebration of light
like no other with Space – a spectacular
five-day immersive and colourful light and
sound experience running from 17 to
21 February.
St Martin-In-The-Fields’ beautiful
exterior will be illuminated with sound
and light, taking visitors on an
incredible journey, redefining the
experiential immersive art world by
combining art, sound, history and
centuries-old architecture to create an
extraordinary multi-sensory experience
that lasts around 30-60 minutes,
followed by a luminous 15-minute final
seated sequence.
During the darker months, Watch
Luxmuralis Light Up and transform the
St Martin’s building with a truly out-ofthis-world experience where visitors are
invited to walk amongst the stars and
experience a dazzling journey across the
universe, exploring the cosmos, the
four-billion-year epic of the Earth, and
the story of humankind’s place in the
universe.
Perfect for art and music lovers, this
enchanting light and sound exhibition
takes you to the edge of the universe,
displaying a rocket launch, the universe
beyond and the Big Bang amidst vibrant
visuals and an atmospheric soundscape.
Visitors will be guided from projections
on the outside of the church, following a
walking trail that takes them deep into
the heart of the church. Marvel at the
glowing scenes and celebrate humanity’s
ambition to venture into the unknown,
ending your journey inside St Martin’s
atmospheric underground crypt, as if
looking back at Earth from space under
twinkling lights and a galaxy of stars.
