THREE MEN IN A BOAT AT ROSE
THEATRE KINGSTON
Rose Theatre has announced the full
cast and creative team for Three Men in
a Boat, a riotous new comedy by
Al Smith, featuring original songs by
Tony Award nominee Grant Olding
(One Man, Two Guvnors). Based on
Jerome K. Jerome’s much-loved classic
novel, the production runs at Rose
Theatre in Kingston upon Thames from
18 September to 10 October.
Directed by Rose Theatre Artistic
Director Christopher Haydon, the
production follows the success of Ava
Pickett’s acclaimed adaptation of Emma.
Jonny Weldon (Rivals, One Day) stars as
Jerome, alongside Bronté Barbé as
Harris, Richard David-Caine as George
and Calum Donald-Bruce as
Montmorency.
With physical comedy, verbal wit and
a series of original comic musical
numbers, Three Men in a Boat promises
a lively new take on a beloved story that
begins in Kingston itself.
Charlotte Brontë’s beloved gothic
romance comes to life at Rose Theatre in
October, bringing Jane Eyre’s journey of
resilience, independence and forbidden
love to the stage. Set against the
atmospheric world of Thornfield Hall,
this captivating adaptation explores
passion, identity and the enduring power
of finding your own voice.

THE STANDARD OF LIVING
Of interest to both theatre lovers and
economists – not to mention anyone
concerned about the real and philosophical
costs of living – a striking new play by
three time Olivier Award winner, James
Graham, focuses on the life of John
Maynard Keynes, one of the 20th
Century’s most impactful figures.
Olivier Award winner Rory Kinnear
stars as John Maynard Keynes, the
radical economist and member of the
influential Bloomsbury Group who
became the singular driving force behind
arts funding in Britain and built a new
and fairer financial model, that ultimately
helped reshape the Western World in the
aftermath of the First World War.
Royal Ballet Principal Natalia Osipova
makes her West End debut as the
celebrated ballet dancer Lydia Lopokova.
Directed by Nicholas Hytner, The
Standard of Living will play at Theatre
Royal Haymarket.
