EXPERIENCE EBONY SCROOGE: A HIP
HOP CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR
This Christmas, visitors to London
can enjoy a festive experience like no
other with the world premiere of Ebony
Scrooge, a brand-new hip hop dance
theatre show from ZooNation: The
Kate Prince Company, opening at
Sadler’s Wells East in Stratford from
26 November to 4 January.
Blending dazzling choreography,
infectious beats, and heartfelt
storytelling, Ebony Scrooge is a bold
reimagining of A Christmas Carol. The
show follows Ebony, a world-famous
fashion designer who has cancelled
Christmas to focus on her career. When
she’s visited by the ghosts of Christmas
Past, Present, and Future, she embarks
on an inspiring journey that reconnects
her with her Caribbean roots and the
true meaning of happiness.
Written, directed, and choreographed
by East London creative Dannielle
‘Rhimes’ Lecointe, Ebony Scrooge
features original music by Michael
‘Mikey J’ Asante MBE of Boy Blue. The
production promises a thrilling mix of
hip hop, comedy, and emotion, making
it a fresh and exciting way to enjoy the
festive season.
The show stars Leah Hill as Ebony,
alongside an exceptional cast of
performers drawn from London’s vibrant
hip hop dance scene. Audiences can
expect a family-friendly performance
packed with energy, style, and heart –
perfect for theatre lovers, dance
enthusiasts, and visitors seeking a
uniquely London Christmas outing.
Tickets start from just £15, and
Sadler’s Wells East is located in Queen
Elizabeth Olympic Park, E20, easily
accessible from Stratford Station.
This winter, swap traditional carols for
choreography and immerse yourself in
the rhythm of the season with Ebony
Scrooge – a bold, contemporary, and
unforgettable take on a classic story.

Wells website at www.sadlerswells.com
