THE CHOIR OF MAN – AN
UNMISSABLE SHOW
The Olivier-nominated Choir of Man,
created by Nic Doodson and Andrew
Kay, is a hugely enjoyable night out,
with its quirky staging, great music and
songs, energetic choreography and
highly talented cast. Before the
performance, the audience has an
opportunity to go onstage and buy
alcoholic or alcohol-free beer from the
bar. A few members of the audience are
invited onstage – it’s all great fun!
The Arts Theatre – a boutique theatre
in the heart of the West End – has been
the show’s London home for 4 years with
280,000 people experiencing this
engaging fast-paced performance, with the
production continuing there until
4 January.
At the heart of the show is a ‘group of
blokes’ who meet up in the pub to sing a
few songs over a drink or two, celebrating
being together and expressing their
emotions. On a very human note, the
programme reminds us that Choir of Man
supports the ‘Campaign Against Living
Miserably’, a telephone helpline for people
struggling mentally.
This is an opportunity to see a show
that continues to travel the world, from
Shanghai to Sydney via South Korea and
Chicago, accumulating rave reviews and
sold-out performances.
