SAUNA & PLUNGE
Following its successful launch in
April 2024, Sauna & Plunge – London’s
first dedicated contrast therapy
destination – has expanded its wellness
offering with The Studio, a new space
designed to integrate mindful movement
into its core thermal experience. Located
on Tabernacle Street in Shoreditch, the
venue provides a seamless journey
through heat, cold, and mindfulness,
redefining what urban recovery can look
like.
Classes at The Studio focus on four
key wellness pillars: Yoga, Pilates,
Breathwork, and Sound. Each session
complements the brand’s original
contrast therapy concept, helping
participants cultivate physical strength,
mental clarity, and emotional balance.
Visitors can enjoy a full ritual of
restoration through state-of-the-art
facilities. These include infrared and
steam saunas reaching up to 100°C to
promote detoxification and circulation,
alongside eco-material, 3D-printed
plunge pools chilled to 6°C, 8°C, and
10°C for optimal body reset and focus.
The on-site boutique coffee lounge
offers natural juices, speciality coffee,
filtered water, Wi-Fi, and a tranquil
atmosphere to unwind before or after
sessions.
Sauna & Plunge’s approach is
scientifically grounded, drawing on
extensive research into temperature
exposure and controlled stress. Regular
use of saunas and cold immersion has
been shown to enhance immunity,
circulation, and recovery, while reducing
inflammation, stress, and pain. It can
also improve mood, sleep, cognitive
performance, and overall wellbeing.
Inspired by the Scandinavian tradition
of balancing hot and cold for vitality,
Sauna & Plunge has created a social
wellness experience that combines
contrast therapy, movement, and
community. This innovative sanctuary
continues to lead the evolution of
holistic urban wellness in London,
fostering resilience, self-regulation, and
a renewed connection between body and
mind.

2025 TCS LONDON MARATHON
SETS NEW FUNDRAISING RECORD
The 2025 TCS London Marathon set
a new world record for the largest oneday fundraising event, raising an
incredible £87.3 million for charity. This
surpasses the previous record of £73.5
million from 2024 by £13.8 million,
bringing the total raised since the first
marathon in 1981 to £1.4 billion.
Hugh Brasher, CEO of London
Marathon Events, praised the
achievement, noting that while the
marathon lasts one day, its impact
continues year-round as thousands of
charities benefit from participants’
fundraising efforts across the 26.2-mile
route.
The event’s official fundraising
partner, Enthuse, reported another
record-breaking year, with more than
£35.77 million raised through its
platform. The average donation was
£46.75, and the average fundraising
page totalled £2,809. The 2025
marathon also set additional world
records, becoming the largest marathon
in history with 56,640 finishers.
