SPECTACULAR COLOURS FOR
LONDON IN AUTUMN
October sees London in its
spectacular autumn colours, with the
Royal Parks showing off the capital at its
best. The season heralds a host of
events around the city. Black History
Month is an annual celebration of the
achievements of Black communities and
the remembrance of Black history across
the world.
Throughout October, Halloween will
be celebrated at the magical wizarding
world of Warner Bros. Studio Tour
London – The Making of Harry Potter,
where the film studios have been
transformed for All Hallows’ Eve, with
the chance to discover original sets,
costumes, props and the special effects
behind legendary scenes – all with a
spooky edge.
Over at Kew Gardens, the Halloween
light trail features eye-popping
illuminations and live fire artists, a
1.5km adventure through the UNESCO
heritage site, from 16 October to
1 November. Or, hop aboard the London
Ghost Bus Tour to spot the landmarks
while hearing spooky stories about
London’s sinister characters.
And, the 13th edition of K-Music
Festival spotlights Korea’s diverse music
scene at various cultural venues across
London.
October Half Term takes place from
26 to 30 October so the big museums
and attractions will be full of tiny feet
and don’t forget the majestic River
Thames, a popular draw in itself as well
as being an important transport link
across the capital.
The clocks change in the UK on
25 October, falling back one hour at
02.00 to Greenwich Mean Time for the
winter months.
