JEFF WAYNE’S WAR OF THE
WORLDS
Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds:
The Immersive Experience made history
last month by becoming the longestrunning immersive theatre production in
the world. Since its launch in 2019, the
show has surpassed 31,000
performances, setting a new Guinness
World Record. This groundbreaking
production was created by immersive
specialists Layered Reality in partnership
with legendary composer Jeff Wayne and
executive producer Damian Collier.
The immersive experience vividly
brings to life Wayne’s iconic musical
adaptation of H.G. Wells’ classic science
fiction novel, The War of The Worlds.
Audiences are transported into a multisensory journey, making it one of the
first truly original immersive productions
to shape London’s entertainment
landscape. Its success has not only
captivated theatre-goers but also
established it as the UK’s longestrunning theatrical and multi-media
immersive experience.
The achievement highlights the
show's pioneering approach to
storytelling, blending cutting-edge
technology with live performance to
create a uniquely engaging and
unforgettable theatrical event.
The Affordable Art Fair is at Battersea Park from 15-19 October.
