UK PREMIERE OF ANNA ZIEGLER’S
THE WANDERERS
The Marylebone Theatre, Sarig Peker
and Keren Misgav are to present the UK
premiere of Anna Ziegler’s acclaimed
play The Wanderers, directed by awardwinning Igor Golyak. The production will
run from 17 October until 29 November.
Following its critically acclaimed
Off-Broadway run at Roundabout Theatre
Company in 2023, where The Wall Street
Journal called it ‘an absorbing, twisty
and thoughtful play.... the finest play of
the year’, The Wanderers now receives
its UK premiere in a brand-new
production designed by Jan Pappelbaum
(Head of Set Design at Berlin’s
Schaubühne theatre).
Abe is a prizewinning novelist living
in Brooklyn with a devoted wife, two
children, and what looks like a charmed
existence. But he’s plagued by a quiet
suspicion: What if he’s living the wrong
life? His wife Sophie, also a writer, is
trying to hold their marriage together
while managing her own disappointments.
When Abe begins an unexpected email
correspondence with a famous actress,
he finds himself pulled into a connection
that awakens something in him he can’t
quite explain.
Across the city, Esther and Schmuli –
newly married members of a Hasidic
Jewish community – are beginning a life
bound by tradition. But as Esther dares
to imagine something more, both
couples find themselves confronting the
same essential questions: Can we
rewrite the stories we’ve been told? Or
are we forever shaped by the ones we’ve
inherited?
With poignancy, humour and lyrical
precision, Anna Ziegler explores the
nature of love, belief, trust, and what it
means to be the author of your own life.
The Wanderers is produced by Sarig
Peker of Grapevine Shoot Productions
and Keren Misgav of Norel Productions.

BORN WITH TEETH
‘Oh Jesus bless us, he is born with
teeth!’ – Henry VI, Part 3.
Born With Teeth is set to make its
West End premiere at Wyndham’s
Theatre. Directed by Daniel Evans, RSC
Co-Artistic Director and two-time Olivier
Award winner, the play is a high-octane
duel of wit, words, and power, offering
both humour and tension.
Written by Liz Duffy Adams, the show
imagines a daring and playful
relationship between two of literature’s
most iconic figures: Kit Marlowe – a
rockstar of Elizabethan theatre and
scandalous Crown spy – and William
Shakespeare, a young, ambitious
playwright and actor captivated by
Marlowe’s charisma and brilliance.
Based on the idea that they may have
collaborated on the Henry VI history
plays, the story blends history, intrigue,
and creative rivalry during a perilous
time for artists. The play explores
ambition, artistic passion, and the risks
faced by writers and performers in a
society that often punished dissent and
controversy.
It promises to be an electrifying
theatrical experience, highlighting the
brilliance, rivalry, and daring of two of
the greatest names in English literature.

THE BACH CHOIR 150TH
ANNIVERSARY SEASON
The Bach Choir, the UK’s leading
independent chorus, is marking its 150th
anniversary with a season celebrating
fifteen decades of history and its enduring
role in the choral tradition. The
programme honours masterpieces of the
past while showcasing the Choir’s
versatility, from classical repertoire to pop
and rock collaborations. This spirit dates
back to 1963, when the Choir famously
joined The Rolling Stones on You Can’t
Always Get What You Want.
The season begins with a landmark
performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 8
at St Paul’s Cathedral, conducted by
Musical Director David Hill MBE. An
expanded Philharmonia Orchestra, eight
soloists, and the London Youth Choirs
will join forces in what promises to be a
thrilling opening concert.
Tradition continues at Easter with the
Choir’s 96th annual performance of Bach’s
St Matthew Passion, featuring Florilegium
and a distinguished cast of soloists. The
season culminates in May 2026 with
Bach’s Mass in B Minor at the Royal
Festival Hall, a work the Choir first
introduced to UK audiences. This
milestone performance closes a year that
celebrates legacy while looking boldly to
the future of choral music.
