We were sworn to secrecy at the time, but I think I can mention it now.
A few months ago we had the great pleasure of welcoming His Majesty
King Charles and Queen Camilla to the Duchess Theatre on a private visit
for a performance of THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG by Mischief during
our 10th Anniversary year. The King loves farce and well-crafted comedy
and during the course of the evening, he told us that the Duchess Theatre
was named after his late Grandmother.
He was not surprised that this particular show had little problem
re-engaging audiences after the Covid lockdown. We agreed that the British
public were craving live experiences and they wanted to laugh.

I have been working with the Mischief Comedy troupe since they left
drama school and the forthcoming CHRISTMAS CAROL GOES WRONG
which plays at the Apollo Theatre over the Christmas holidays will be our
ninth West end collaboration. Their recent hit, THE COMEDY ABOUT
SPIES is heading off to Broadway next Summer following a sold out run
at the Noël Coward Theatre.
Another feel good treat to look forward to in December is TOP HAT,
a new production of the Olivier Award Winning classic musical packed full
of Irving Berlin songs, spectacular dancing and hilarious situation comedy.
The show will be playing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the South Bank
Centre. The venue was named after his late mother.
