BUCKINGHAM PALACE SUMMER
OPENING
Buckingham Palace has opened its
State Rooms for the summer, featuring a
new exhibition, The King’s Tour Artists,
showcasing over 70 artworks from King
Charles III’s private collection.
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of
His Majesty’s Tour Artists initiative, the
exhibition includes works from 43 artists
who joined the King on 70 overseas
tours to 95 countries since 1985. Many
of the pieces, including paintings,
sketches, and sculptures, are being
displayed publicly for the first time.
Highlights include early and recent
works created in Italy, digital artwork by
Fraser Scarfe made on an iPad during a
2025 visit, and portraits of the King and
Queen from 2007 by James Hart Dyke.
A special world map illustration by Toby
Ward, son of the first tour artist John
Ward, marks the anniversary. The
exhibition reflects King Charles's longstanding support for the arts.
In the Throne Room, visitors can view
the newly installed Coronation State
Portraits of Their Majesties. Additional
experiences include Garden Highlights
Tours and the expanded East Wing
Highlights Tour. Visitors can also
explore The Edwardians: Age of
Elegance exhibition in The King’s
Gallery. Tickets support the conservation
of the Royal Collection.
WELCOME TO THE MAYHEM AT THE DUCHESS
With some trepidation, producers Kenny Wax and Stage
Presence nervously introduced the 11th full cast change of
The Play That Goes Wrong at London’s Duchess Theatre
ready for more summer fun. Mischief’s Olivier and Tony
Award-winning smash hit is unbelievably still in the West End
for its 11th year.
Joining the mayhem this summer are
new cast members: Izzy Edmunds-Clarke
as Annie, Jack Hardwick as Chris,
Robert Jackson as Robert, Jonty Peach
as Jonathan, Charlotte Scott as Sandra,
Mitesh Soni as Dennis, Tom Wainwright
as Max and Ronnie Yorke as Trevor.

the dog. (If Winston is found).
The Cornley Drama Society have
announced that they intend to keep
performing the show until they get it
100% right. In light of this, the
producers have extended booking until
'at least' August 2026, with some
confidence. Cornley have yet to notice.
The Play That Goes Wrong opened at
London’s Duchess Theatre in September
2014 and the production shows no
signs of slowing down since its first
performance at The Old Red Lion
Theatre playing to only four paying
customers. The show’s success is a
testament to the hard work and
determination of a group of drama
school graduates who became friends,
set up a company under the name
‘Mischief’ and created an extraordinary
body of work over the past decade.

on 0330 333 4810 or visit
